[6/6 - 6/10] Inspiration │ Arin Hanson

Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson is an American Internet personality, voice actor, songwriter, rapper, animator, and cartoonist. Known for his cartoon series The Awesome Series, where he parodies various video game series; Girlchan In Paradise, a series that parodies shōnen animeLemon 'n Bill, a comedic series in which an anthropomorphic bullet and lemon get trapped within video game worlds; and Sequelitis, a series in which Hanson compares a video game and its sequel along with minor animations throughout the video. He is best known for creating and co-staring the YouTube gaming series Game Grumps, alongside Jon "JonTron" Jafari until August 2013 and was replaced by Leigh Daniel Avidan of the musical comedy duo Ninja Sex Party, who continues to work on the show to date.

[6/6 - 6/10] Inspiration │ Chris O'Niell

I chose Irish internet Flash animator Chris "Oney" O'Neill as one of my inspirations for this week. I chose Chris because he was one of the first animators I came to acknowledge, both as a Newgrounds animator and as an animator in general. I found Chris O'Neill from his cartoons on the entertainment and social media website Newgrounds.com with cartoons such as Leo and Satan and Dragonzball P. I immediately gained interest in his work and collaborations with other animators such as Zach "psychicpebbles" Hadelcreator of the web series Hellbenders, which O'Neill is a writer, and creator of the infamous Arrow to the Knee cartoon and the late Edd Gould, the creator of Eddsworld. Besides animating, Chris also produces music which uploads to his SoundCloud, he does run a music/tutorial YouTube channel under the name OneyMusic, but it's been inactive for a few months. And also, he runs a gaming channel titled OneyPlays but uploads aren't consistent. Besides all of that, he runs and is co-owner/member of the multi-media studio SleepyCabin, alongside Mick "Ricepirate" Lauer and Zach Hadel.

[5/30 - 6/3] Inspiration | Shigesato Itoi

Another person I wanted to talk about is Japanese copywriter, essayist, lyricist, game designer, and actor, Shigesato Itoi. More importantly, the reason why I want to mention him as one of my inspirations is because, outside of Japan, he is best known for creating the Earthbound series video games (known in Japan as Mother).

[5/30 - 6/3] Inspiration | Mike Judge

I chose for this week Mike JudgeAmerican actor, voice actor, animator, writer, producerdirector, and musician, creating and starred in his more notable animated television series Beavis and Butt-Head and King of the Hill. Why I chose Judge wasn't really about nostalgia or any childhood reminiscence but it was more about the style his shows are made and written. With Beavis and Butt-Head being two idiots who have no understanding of the world or remorse for their consequences besides their love for heavy metal and their shared obsession for sex, despite having no experience with women. While King of the Hill is more slice of life series focusing on the Hill family, their friends and neighbors with their day to day lives in the fictitious town of Arlen, Texas.

[5/23 - 5/27] Inspiration | Alex Hirsch

I decided to choose Alex HirschAmerican animatorstoryboard artistvoice actor, and television producer. Previously working as a storyboard artist on the Cartoon Network series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and the Disney Channel series Fish Hooks, he's best known as the creator of the Disney XD animated series Gravity Falls. I chose Alex Hirsch as my inspiration since he's been one of a few animators (Pendleton Ward, J.G. Quintel, Rebecca Sugar, Justin Roiland, etc.) that have the creativity and the talent to create something that can have a lasting effect to viewers for many years. The mystery and Sci-Fi element of Gravity Falls is what got me curious, watching the characters and understanding the plot is what got me hooked to it for it's 2 seasons. I can say that Gravity Falls is in my favorite animated shows of all time list.

[5/23 - 5/27] Inspiration | Genndy Tartavosky

For this week, I chose Russian-American animator, director and producer Genndy Tartavosky. He is best known for creating the Cartoon Network animated television series Dexter's LaboratorySamurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars, and co-creating Sym-Bionic Titan. Later in 2011, he began to work for Sony Pictures Animation, where he directed his feature film debut, Hotel Transylvania, and its sequel, Hotel Transylvania 2. The obvious reason on why I decided to mention him was for the fact that his work (along with many other animators) was part of my childhood, alone Dexter's Laboratory gave me hundreds of hours in entertainment that I would never ask to trade. His style was an easy to understand and cartoon-y, so there wasn't any complications that made it hard to understand so kids were immediately able to enjoy his cartoons.
